Hearing her same is name like that filled him with an incredible amount of masculine pride. He wanted to roll over on top of her, cover her body with his, and get her to scream it the next time as she came. But even with her blood circulation in his veins, he still was fairly weak, so he let her ride him instead.
She shoved his hand above his head and held him there as she slid up and down his length, making tiny adjustments so that he rubbed her just where she needed it. Fortunately for him, everything she did rocked his world, so he could sit back and enjoy it.

NOW...that's how you get it girls, ride that man to oblivion! Make him say YOUR name...lol~

Review: Dirty Secrets by Lonaire Drummond

Dirty Secrets

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Erotica 270 pages
ISBN-10:

ISBN-13:
978-1477630785

SUMMARY:
Under the maniacal rule of her crazy boss--toilet paper titan--Mindy Corentini, Adele Jaspers is overworked, under-appreciated, and has no time to date. After a narrow escape from a crazy homeless man on a New York City subway train, she has little patience for her boss’s antics. One confrontation away from exploding, Adele does the next best thing, she quits. What does Adele do with her newfound freedom? She takes an impromptu vacation to St. Lucia where she begins a whirlwind romance with an Italian corporate raider, Ambrogio Argentero. Rich, handsome, and arrogant, he lets nothing go to waste. However, his family has some dirty secrets, some of which might get her killed--Renaissance style.

MY REVIEW:
Unexpectedly quitting her job at Corentini, Adele Jaspers takes a long overdue vacation to St. Lucia. Talk about spur of the moment. Not expecting anything other than some down time, Adele finds herself completely drawn to Ambrogio Argentero, a rich, bold, and gorgeous businessman who has her on edge and wanting more with every accented word he speaks.

Dirty Secrets is a pretty amusing book. I'm a bit on edge with the characters. Adele was okay, to say the least. I wasn't too fond of her, maybe in the beginning I was thinking, "Okay.. I can dig this, she's not so bad." But as the book progressed she started getting more and more irritating to me. Maybe it was because of how she went about doing things, or just because I didn't like her as a character. I'm not too sure yet. But, I will say that Robyne, Adele's best friend, totally made up for that. Although she's hardly mentioned in the book until about the last 5-7 chapters, I think Robyne was a great addition to this book & really kept me reading. Ambrogio, Ambrogio, Ambrogio... Aside from being completely hot & totally arousing, I was a bit iffy with his character too. He's arrogant, selfish, and secretive. If not, more. What he lacked in some areas, he made up for in others. He's also caring, giving, and totally hot in a way that confident men can be.

I liked that this book mixed romance, with dilemmas and had a few heartfelt moments in there, as well as mystery. It was never really "boring", so to speak. I didn't exactly just toss the book aside and think "I just can't continue" nope, not that at all. I was hooked & wanted to know what happened next. What I didn't like was that this book did drag in a few places and that some of the scenes were just too unreal for me to believe. Also, I hate to admit this but I used Google Translate to translate a lot of the dialogue that took place between the characters. Drummond did continue after said dialogue and cleared up a lot of what was just said, but I just felt lost and had to get a better understanding of what was said. There were some grammatical errors here and there and towards the last few chapters in the book, it picked up on those quite a bit. But, nevertheless, I pushed through all that and kept reading.

I would recommend this book. I think the story as a whole is great, it could have used a bit more work but it wasn't "throw it down the shredder and call it day" type of a book. It was good, if a bit unpolished. To me, at least.

Virtual Tour (Entangled Publishing): Author Interview with Melissa Bourbon Ramirez

Happy Monday Sexxy People!

I'm so happy to welcome Melissa Bourbon Ramirez to Salacious Reads today. She is going to talk about her new Book Sacrifice of Passion...

Hi Melissa,

Welcome to Salacious Reads, please tell us a little about yourself?

Thank you for having me here today! I’m a writer, of course, a mother, a wife, and the marketing director for Entangled Publishing. Life is very busy! I have five kids, ages 9-19, one of which is a girl (the 12 year old). My oldest is heading into his second year of college.

Can you give us some background on the story Sacrifice of Passion?

I love this story! Sacrifice of Passion is the first book in the Deadly Legends Trilogy. It takes place in the small town of San Julio, Texas, a place that is supposedly cursed. Killings and the legend of chupacabra are at the center of the story.

My husband is Latino. The legend of la Llorona was my first foray into Mexican legends. I find them all fascinating! Chupacabra is urban legend, and the little creatures are creepy—perfect for a romantic suspense novel! The book has been getting rave reviews, which is so exciting. There’s nothing better than knowing that your story resonates with readers.

Deadly Legends is a wonderful name for a series…how did you come across this idea?

Thank you! Each of the books will center ona legend, and being romantic suspense, they’ll all have the suspense/death elements. We combined the two elements and voila!

How many more stories can we expect to see in this series and what mythical creature will be in the next book?

The second book, Curse of Passion, will be out early in 2013. It takes the legend of la Llorona (think Medea) to new heights. I love the story. It features Ray Vargas, Vic’s brother, in the starring role 

The third book in the series will be out in late 2013 or early 2014.

What would like for readers to take with them after they've finished reading Sacrifice of Passion?

The story is about second chances, hope, and moving forward. And passion, of course! I’d like readers to feel the emotional range of all those elements.

Thank you for stopping through Melissa.

Thank you!

About Sacrifice of Passion

Texas rancher, Vic Vargas, finds himself facing more than his stubbornly silent son when the chupacabra, a supposedly mythical blood‐sucking beast, starts killing his livestock—and stalking Delaney West, the town’s newly returned veterinary assistant, the sensual woman who ran from the altar and broke his heart twelve years earlier.

Reluctantly, he seeks her help to get to the bottom of the disturbing animal mutilations, only to have her break through to his sullen son...and rekindle the love he’d thought was lost forever. But her refusal to share a terrible secret sends her running straight into the lair of the chupacabra, plunging her back into her worst nightmare, and forcing them both to confront the wrongs of the past—in order to stay alive for the future they desperately want.

Also available from Melissa Bourbon Ramirez:Deceiving the Witch Next Door

Storie Bell has a little secret—she’s a witch. But magic hasn’t exactly kept her life from being a complete mess—her love life is non-existent and the town thinks she’s a total nutter. Plus there’s her neighbor Reid Malone who runs hot one minute and cold the next.

Reid Malone can’t wait to escape Bloomington, Texas. Unfortunately, he’s stuck where he is unless he helps his father hide a very illegal secret. The only key to Reid’s freedom lies with the eccentric Storie…and he’ll do whatever it takes to get the information he needs from her.

But Reid’s holding something back. Something big. And if he’s not careful, he’ll find out exactly what happens when you try to deceive a witch…

Parading around the sidelines of Sacramento’s professional basketball scene in a barely-there cheerleading outfit is one thing—but parading around in nothing but smile? If she has any chance of hiding this from her traditional family and on-again/off-again boyfriend Jack, she’s going to have a lot more than her duct tape bra and killer dance moves to keep under wraps….

Hot Reads - July: Whats Your Hot Read For The Summer?

Do you ever read books that get you a little hot and steamy? If you do, join in Hot Reads and share some of your favorite sexy reads and find some new ones!

Hot Reads is a Monthly Meme, hosted by Book Savvy Babe and Alive on the Shelves, where we get to share our hottest read of the month! Your choice can be any book, it doesn’t matter the genre, the length, whether it’s new or old. If you read it during the month, and it raised your temperature, it qualifies to be a HOT READ! To make things as simple as possible, Hot Reads will take place the 28th day of the month. So every month, be ready to share your HOT READ pick!

IMPORTANT: Due to content, this meme is open to participants 18 and older ONLY!

How To Participate:
Pick your HOT READ of the month (ex. on July 28, you pick your HOT READ for the month of March)

Make a blog post sharing your Hot Read pick. Include in the post: book title, author, HOT READ button, and links to the hosts. If you would like to include book teasers, book review, etc feel free!

Add the link to your post in the linky at a host site and visit the other blogs to see what others chose as their HOT READ! (you only need to enter your link 1 time)
As always, don’t forget to spread the word! (help us out by tweeting, facebook, etc)

Now, a HOT READ doesn’t have to be hard-core. Maybe the author’s photo made you hot! Maybe the cover art — all those broad shoulders and rippling abs — raised your temperature. Maybe there was just a scene or a setting that made you squirm in your seat — those all qualify! After all, we don’t all have the same taste in men (or ladies, pick your pleasure), so why should we have the same taste in HOT READS?

My HOT Read for July is...

Hands down, it was A Measured Risk by Natasha Blackthorne. What an incredible sexy historical read. There is a BDSM flavor to this story as well and it is smoking hot. Here's my Review.

**Book Cover from Total E-Bound Publishing.

Book Blurb (Goodreads)

Book one in the Regency Risks Series

He is her most dangerous temptation, the only man she has ever trusted and now he is demanding her submission. Dare she take the risk?

Emotionally scarred in the horrific accident that took her husband’s life, Lady Cranfield is imprisoned by her lingering terror of horses and carriages. Lady Cranfield longed to be closer to the fascinating Earl of Ruel. She sensed intuitively that he could teach her how to overcome the terrors that held her in bondage.

And now she’s willing to risk almost anything-her reputation, even her virtue-to find out. But what he proposes startles her.

When the shy, studious and socially awkward young widow approached him, Ruel instantly sensed she would be the sweetest, most submissive experience of a lifetime-if only he can gain her total and complete trust. He makes her a non-negotiable offer. His help in return for her submission and obedience.

But Lady Cranfield grew up neglected by her ducal parents, raised by servants and then later ignored by her handsome, charming husband. She’s learnt to protect her heart at all costs and she trusts no one but herself.

How can the jaded Earl of Ruel break through her self-protective defences and show her how to love when he has spent his lifetime avoiding that tender trap?

**Reader Advisory: This is a work of historical fiction, it is not meant to be an accurate portrayal of or guide to how people recover from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is also not meant to be an accurate portrayal of modern BDSM or D/s lifestyles.

This is a work of Erotic Historical Romance and it uses the graphic language and situations of Erotic Romance.

So what about You? Gotta Hot Read for July? Share it and be sure to link back to Book Savvy Babe or Alive on The Shelves, the Linky stays open for a Month.

Virtual Book Tour (BTS): Interview with Adrienne deWolfe

Writing Novels That Sell

Hi!

Hosted by BTS (Book Trailer Showcase), I am so thrilled to welcome Adrienne deWolfe, Best Selling Romance Author to Salacious Reads.

Hello Adrienne! Thank you for being here today!

You are an historical Romance author, who has been published through Bantam and Avon books. Can you tell us a few of the titles you have written?
Thanks for asking! I'm counting down the days, because my award-winning series, Wild Texas Nights, will be released as e-books in about a week. I'm so excited about the beautiful new covers! (Check ‘em out!)
Texas Outlaw (Book 1) is the story of a lady train robber who tangles with a sexy US marshal, who has vowed to bring her to justice.

Texas Lover (Book 2) is the story of a ruggedly handsome Texas Ranger, who must disguise his identity to figure out whether or not the heroine (a spirited young divorcee, who is protecting a house full of orphans), is guilty of killing her lawman lover.

Texas Wildcat (Book 3) is the story of a beautiful, hot-tempered sheep rancher, who accuses local cowboys of theft and becomes a vexing problem for her closest neighbor, a drop-dead-gorgeous cattle rancher.

My WILD TEXAS NIGHTS series has won 5 awards, including The Best Historical Romance of the Year. I'm offering a raffle for autographed copies of the paperbacks, so be sure to stop by my website to register at WritingNovelsThatSell.com

What is the most rewarding thing about being published?
Receiving enthusiastic letters from fans -- and getting to meet readers in person!
Because I wrote 3 Western novels set in Texas (where I live), I’ve attracted a small cadre of gentleman readers.

I'll never forget the book signing where the store manager called me over the loud speaker to report to the phone. One of my gentlemen readers had been driving across the state to attend my book signing, and he had a minor traffic accident. I was so touched that he'd gone to so much trouble to meet me – and then to have me reserve signed copies for him! As it turned out, he was one of the last true Texas Cowboys, who used to drive cattle along the Chisholm Trail!

You love traditional Romance novels as well as Paranormal. What is it about these genres that you love so much?
I absolutely love reading and writing stories with happy endings. That is why I started my publishing career by writing Romance.
Romance is an optimistic genre. It allows women the same fictional privileges that, in other genres, have been traditionally reserved for the male protagonist.

In genre Romance, a woman is consistently characterized as “heroic” and is given power over her life. Romance remains one of the few bastions of fiction where a reader can turn, with confidence, knowing that in the end, the girl will get the guy, and perhaps more importantly, the guy will treasure her as a woman.

As for Paranormal Romance: I have always been interested in the supernatural. Believe it or not, the first novel that I ever tried to sell to a New York publishing house was a Paranormal Romance with a heroine who could heal people with her hands. Unfortunately, I was 10 years ahead of my time: no one was publishing Paranormal Romance at that time.
The good news is that my e-publisher has asked me to write a third book in my NAUGHTY AND NICE series, and that book, AN IMPERFECT ANGEL (Winter 2012), has Paranormal elements.

You teach online writing courses, like “How to Write a Romance Novel That Sells”. What is your motivation for teaching workshops and courses?
I was so blessed early in my career to have wonderful mentors! I started writing in Houston, Texas, which was a hotbed for Historical Romance novelists, including Susan Wiggs, Barbara Dawson Smith, and Christina Dodd. After I moved to Austin, I was invited to join a critique group that included Harlequin authors Patricia Wynn, Cara West, and Pamela Ingram.
I am absolutely certain that I would NOT be published today if these talented Romance writers had not given so generously of their time and knowledge. I vowed that I would someday give back to the writing community the way my mentors had given to me. That is why I developed my website, WritingNovelsThatSell.com. And that is why I am so passionate about providing constructive story critiques.
My mission is to help aspiring authors live their publishing dream. How to Write a Romance Novel That Sells is one of several online courses/workshops that I teach.

What advice would you give a struggling and/or aspiring author?
Write every day. NEVER GIVE UP! (Read my blog for tips and inspiration.)
Before I became published in book-length fiction, I was already a successful newspaper journalist and business writer with more than 45 writing awards to my credit. Nevertheless, it took me 10 years to break into the Romance market – which only proves that I was stuck in my ways. My publication experience in non-fiction did NOT adequately prepare me to write for the commercial fiction market.
For me, the great “A-Ha” that eventually led to the publication of my debut novel, Texas Outlaw , came when a published Romance author looked at my manuscript and pointed out, line by line, how to correct a Romance editor's vague criticisms (such as, “There’s not enough conflict in this scene"). That’s why I offer professional story critiques and private coaching to fiction writers. And that’s why I teach fiction writers how to recognize the difference between a “valid” writing criticism and an Urban Myth or a “personal prejudice.”
In my personal opinion, too many aspiring authors lose faith in their writing because someone (who doesn’t know what they’re talking about) provided feedback that made a novel unsalable, or worse, that left the writer feeling like s/he had no talent.
My mission is to make VERY sure that my students don’t walk away from my classes or my critique sessions feeling unworthy to be published!

Do you think that publishing a Romance novel and getting it to sell well is difficult? Why?
Every year, 78 million people around the world read at least one Romance novel. The publisher, Harlequin Romance, sells 4 books per second, and half of those are bought internationally. If you want to break into the commercial fiction market, I believe that your odds are going to be better in Romance than in any other adult fiction genre, simply because of the vast quantities of Romance novels that are sold each year.

Is it easy to break into Romance?
Well, that all depends on your attitude. It took me 10 years to get published in book-length Romance, but I found mentors, and I kept my eyes focused on the goal. To help aspiring Romance authors understand the writing business, I have written a series of non-fiction books: How to Write Wildly Popular Romances; How to Write Romance Heroes with Sex Appeal; and How to Write Sensual Love Scenes.
The simple truth is, if you give up, you will never be published. If you persevere, the odds are in your favor. The only way to remain sane throughout this process is to surround yourself with positive-minded people who support your goals and help you celebrate your successes.

What do you like to do in your spare time when you are not writing and teaching?
I blog like a fiend!
Oh, wait a minute. That's writing, isn't it?
It's a little-known fact that I am a classically trained soprano, who has actually been paid to sing solos at weddings! (But only because those darling brides and grooms didn’t hear me braying Mozart's Requiem in concert.)
Sometimes, the local hospital calls me to sing and play my zither harp for comatose (yes, comatose) patients. I like to think this is a compliment, but the jury is still out on the matter.

Thank you for visiting Salacious Reads Adrienne!

Thank you for the opportunity to “chat” with you and your readers! Don’t forget to visit me on Twitter, Facebook, GoodReads, and Google Plus.

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow #9

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines. This Weeks Question:
Question of the Week: Show us the goods! Share your bookshelves with everyone. Strictly eBooks? That's okay, take a pic of your reader! Give a tour of your shelves and have fun with it.
*Click on pictures to see full size*

O.o *runs to clean bookshelf* Not that there's much to clean... A few months ago I got a new bookshelf, before I got that one I had a standard 5 shelf bookshelf. It was a lot smaller than my new one & it made it seem like I had a lot of books.. well, as you can see, having this new bookshelf, I don't really have much >.<

Regardless of my lack of a book collection, I absolutely love my bookshelf. I got this one from my grandpas house before he moved out (can you believe he was just gonna toss this beauty?) So, yeah.. I took it before it became a hearty meal for the dump-truck.  I can rearrange the shelves anyway I want. As you can see, since I don't have much, I've added some stuff to the shelves just for decor.

The middle column is my sister's books and the left and right column's are mine.

Mind my pillow pet there at the bottom. Her name is Pink Zebra hehe My bed is pretty much just a mattress lol. One of the greatest things I love about my bookshelf, is that there's a little lamp light attached to the top and with just a flip of a switch it comes on. INSTANT NIGHT LIGHT! oh yeah *flippin' switches like a boss*

Below, is a picture of the very bottom of my shelf. It's pretty much just school notebooks and textbooks. I don't need these text books anymore, they're just a filler for my near non-existent bookshelf xD

Let's just say... my Kindle for PC has a lot more books than my bookshelf. I've restricted myself from eBooks.. I get too click happy and then this happens ^_^ See? I haven't even begun to make a dent in that list of books -____-
