My Thoughts

Episode 1 ~ Cats Don't Lie (30:18)

In episode one, we meet Rin who is a private investigator who does little odd jobs. The episode starts off with her being killed..err quite gruesomely and then waking up the next morning in her apartment. She calmly gets dress and goes to work where she starts off looking for her clients cat...yup a cat. But there is more to Rin as the story progresses. During her search she come across Koki who about to be kidnapped by thugs. She promptly rescues him, by kicking major butt and takes him to her office where she takes on his case to help him figure out why he can't remember certain things that has happened to him in the last couple of days.

What they come across is a very powerful gang to runs a pharmaceutical company that is doing illegal cloning & Koki is an escaped subject.

This was a extremely exciting 1st episode to watch. You are a little confused with the opening, but as the progressed, you will be pretty much be glued to the TV. Like I said, this is a very graphic anime cartoon..definitely not for kids.
Rin is funny and very witty, she's also street smart. Her assistant MiMi is funny too and keeps the information flowing to Rin about the cases they come across.
In this first episode, Rin attempts to help Koki figure out what is going on and also attempt to stop the taking of her own life by a female assassin sent by Apos.

This was a great start to a series I think I'm going to enjoy immensely.

Favorite Line ~

"That's for you to decide, I can't say I know what it is you're going through..the pain, the uncertainty. Only you know that, but I do know you can choose to end it and I won't blame you..after all, it maybe the only way to save yourself. Those are really your only two options. Either you live with the pain or you don't, no one else can choose for you. It's your life..your decision".

This is Rin speaking to Koki after they escaped. It was so heartbreaking, I was tearing up a lil bit...
