After being rescued from the Underworld, Gryphon is plauged by strange voices and an evil foreboding. He believes that his only hope for salvation is to track down the goddess who cursed him...until he meets Maelea.
A prisoner with no bars, Maelea encounters Gryphon on her quest to find Olympus. He's about to test her loyalty to the gods, and she's ready to find out if he still has a heart worth saving...

My Thoughts

Okay, so..I cheated. I read book 5 (Enslaved) before I read book (4) Enraptured. Now my thought was to know take a peak inside the pages, just to see what was going on with Gryphon and….well…you see, this bad habit is hard to break...I read the book in 2 days. Technically it would have been one, but a girl has got to get up and go to work. And I have nothing against Orpheus book, it’s just that Gryphon and Maelea just sucked me into their relationship., I was done for really.

The thing I love about Elisabeth Guardians is that their books always start off with some action. I mean kick ass action, it just makes you keep on reading...makes you think, well hell; it can't end here, right? No folks, it doesn't. In Gryphon's case he’s back from the Underworld (thanks to his Bro Orpheus) but he’s got this thing…
There are voices in his head and he has to get them out and the only way to do that is take out the source…Atalanta (what a stalk raving mad Ho’ this one is)…anyways. During his escape, he comes across Maelea who of course is escaping too and well, this people starts a story that is so emotionally drawing that I wanted to hurt some people in this book (Thank you Elisabth?! O_O).

But seriously, this is how good this woman writes. She’s able to make you feel for these characters…hell almost wish you were in the damn story so you can protect them. Another thing I like about Elisabeth’s writing is that she doesn't draw out the story or say…the annoyance of an character. The is what she did with Maelea because I really didn't like her at the beginning of the story…but as I read, I thought “you know what? This chick ain't half bad…I think I like her”.

I got Maelea & I got Gryphon. They both didn't want to be alone…wanted someone to love them. But, they also didn't want the people they cared about hurt because of them.

Elisabeth…I love your world building. I am such a HUGE fan of Greek Mythology, have always been and I just love your take on this world. It’s all sexy, good and dark at the same time. Strong characters that you will love and hate…totally addictive I tell you.
So now…hate to kill the ending for you, but now that Atalanta’s dead…who will the Guardians have to face to get the remaining Orbs and protect their world and the Human realm? Hades? Zeus?

It’s going to be an exciting time to find out and I’m excited for Titus’s story. I’m reading Orpheus’s book now & it’s just as engaging. But I think I’ll take Gryphon has a new book boyfriend..I can add to my ever ending list…even if he did go to hell..sorry Tartarus.

So if you looking for a lil twist on your Greek Mythology, pick up Ms. Naughton’s Eternal Guardian series. I guarantee you will be hooked.
