Adam Jamenson has suffered through the worst loss known to man. The only reason he lives day-to-day is to ensure the safety of his Pack. As the Enforcer of the Redwood Pack, it is his job to protect all in his path, though he was unable to protect the ones he held dear. The war with the Centrals is heating up and Adam must try and grit through it in order to survive. Though the broken man inside of him may not want to…
Bay Milton is a werewolf with a past. And a secret. She’s met the Redwood’s Enforcer only once, but it left a lasting effect. Now she needs to find him or everything he had thought he lost, may be lost again.
Together, they must struggle and find a way to fight their pasts and present in order to protect their future. But the Centrals have a plan that might make their path one of loss and destruction.
She murmured a good night, and he walked out, leaving her with her passed-out mate and the sudden urge to take care of him.
“He needs us,” her wolf whimpered.
“Shush, you,” she whispered back. “He’s a grown man who doesn’t need us staring at him like a freaking stalker while he’s sleeping.”
Adam groaned from the bed and tried to take his shirt off, struggling in his current state. She caught a glimpse of tanned flesh and wanted to groan right with him. Damn, she was pregnant and ready to pop. She shouldn’t be thinking dirty thoughts.
Especially not with the man currently trying to strip out of his clothes.
With a sigh, she waddled over to him and placed a hand on his arm, the heat radiating from him shocking her. She’d forgotten how hot his skin was.
“Adam, stop trying to take off your clothes. You’re going to hurt yourself.” Need filled her and she cursed. Her libido was picking a strange time to wake back up.
“Bay,” he grumbled, and she froze.
She loved the sound of her name on his lips. Or rather, her wolf did. The woman desperately wanted not to like it. Damn mating bond.
Okay…you guys know I love my tortured heroes. I really really do, but Adam Jameson I seriously wanted to reach through my NOOK & smack him upside his head (seriously I told Carrie Ann Ryan this too)
It’s not to say that I didn’t love this story, I absolutely loved it. Adam was a really bad baby daddy…you see he lost his first mate who was pregnant and he just couldn’t let go of the anger. He walks around angry, he’s enforcer of his pack and has a job to do and that job is protect his family, his den. But like I said, he can’t let go of his anger so in one night of heated passion with Bay Milton, he mates with her and well, gets her pregnant. But Adam doesn’t know this until Bay shows up on his land about to pop.
Bay Milton is a lone wolf, has always been. It’s always been just her and her mom, until her mom passes. After a lustful one night stand with Adam, she ends up about to have his baby. Bay has never needed anyone, never asked for help. She was in a sense ok with being a lone wolf. But now she needs Adam more than ever. Because as she said, it isn’t about her anymore. Someone is following her and she needs Adam and his pack to help her protect their baby.
Now…Carrie Ann Ryan has written a story that will make you cry…no I take that back, bawl. Because as much as I disliked Adam throughout this story, in the end I like him more and let me tell you…he was hard to like. He was hurting & I understand that. He lost something wonderful and didn’t..no, didn’t want it back and that turned him into something quiet ugly. She has also written a story that will make you cheer for the Heroine, because Bay Milton was a very strong woman and do deal with a man like Adam..you had to be. Because listen..me, I would have been like..
“Look fool, I’m pregnant. We bumped uglies..yes, we did. But if you don’t pull your head out of your ass. I will personally pull it out myself & STICK it back up there…ASS!”
Sorry, I went off track just a bit..but so many times in the book, I wanted to tell Bay to tell Adam that. Hell, in fact I found myself saying just those things. Anyway, Bay was a Herorine I loved. She was a lone wolf, but she did want to be part of a pack, it was something she never had before and I just got the feeling that beside her feeling for Adam, she really wanted a family she could call her own. And I love the fact that Carrie Ann wrote her to be just a character very simple to understand. I mean really all of the characters in this story were. Yes, Enforcer’s Redemption is a emotional story with emotional characters. It’s also a frustrating read because you honestly want to just hope that these two get it together. Good Gravy, it’s a complete page turner.
You wouldn’t want to turn off our NOOK or close your book when reading this story. Ms. Ryan writes characters that are strong and complete. And the world building is just as good…I love her take of werewolves. I mean seriously…a half werewolf, half demon? Wha? I’m not going to tell anymore, so go grab this book, buy..download it, just read it, it’s worth it.
