Can love come from pain?

Evie always dreamed of seeing the world, but her first night at a motel turns into a nightmare. Hunter is a rugged trucker willing to do anything to keep her—including kidnapping. As they cross the country in his rig, Evie plots her escape, but she may find what she's been looking for right beside her.

Wanderlust is a dark erotic novel which explores dubious consent, captivity, and power play. Please do not read this if you're uncomfortable with the subject matter or under 18 years of age.

Wanderlust is a dark read…I started off reading this story not exactly know how to take it or its characters. I can honestly say this is one book I was totally conflicted about. The themes are not only dark, but edgy and at times tragic…it's truly hard to wrap your mind around some of it, but Skye Warren weaves a tale that will have you wanting this couple to end of up together despite the bad things done (and that got me to thinking how twisted I was…lols).

But in all seriousness, I love Skye Warrens writing…she has this way of making you have love for characters you may feel who are undeserving of those feelings. I was so seriously fighting my feelings for Hunter in the worse way...but in the end? he won.

As you read Wanderlust further, you discover that not only is Evie damaged, but so is Hunter…her abuser and who would feel sympathy for an abuser? Well...wait until you hear Hunters story, and let me tell you...his story is just as worse off as Evie’s.

I love how Ms. Warren is able to make the angst of these two people so real…downright heartbreaking and you’re really left wondering, how can there possibly be a HEA at the end of all of this?
"God, he was so messed up. This was his way of asking for a relationship.
And I was so messed up too."
"Okay" ~ Evie
I’m not going to give you much on the characters, honestly you can read that in the blurb. But to go to Ms. Warren’s question in the beginning of her blurb. Can you love from pain? In this authors world..yes you can and after reading Wanderlust, Skye has given me…this reader hope.

This story is not for the faint of heart and the subject matter is truly dark indeed…read with caution.
