The final book in The Original Sinners Series - The Red Years.

There's punishment-and then there's vengeance.

Nora Sutherlin is being held, bound and naked. Under different circumstances, she would enjoy the situation immensely, but her captor isn't interested in play. Or pity.

As the reality of her impending peril unfolds, Nora becomes Scheherazade, buying each hour of her life with stories-sensual tales of Søren, Kingsley and Wesley, each of whom has tempted and tested and tortured her in his own way. This, Nora realizes, is her life: nothing so simple, so vanilla, as a mere love triangle for her. It's a knot in a silken cord, a tangled mass of longings of the body and the heart and the mind. And it may unravel at any moment.

But in Nora's world, no one is ever truly powerless-a cadre of her friends, protectors and lovers stands ready to do anything to save her, even when the only certainty seems to be sacrifice and heartbreak....

I have to say that this is the only series that I've gave 5 heels to each and every book in it, that is rare. Tiffany Reisz just has a way of writing…she draws you into her world of sinners and even though you know you should be trying to find a way out, you want to stay.

The fourth book in the Original Sinners series, The Mistress was all I hoped it would be. Once I started reading, I knew that everything would fall into its proper place. You know how a burglar has their ear to that safe door and they’re listening to hear that lock pop? It's like heaven...right? you know that you've just broke bank. Well that's how it was for me while reading this book. The Mistress takes off where The Prince left off, Nora has been taken and lord help the one who has taken her. Because with the wrath of Kingsley and Soren bearing down on them…it was going to end brutally.

The set up of this story was like playing a game of chess, everyone was a pawn to the person that took Nora. The moves were dangerous and one of our Queens will not make it. I loved the back stories…this rehashing of our Sinners tales. We've read it all before in the previous books, but here…here, I think you really get an understanding of the love that each and every sinner has for the other. The sacrifices made, the tears shed…the lives taken and the realizations that come to light.

I was on emotional high while reading…I will admit I was a mess. I’ll also admit that this series had me on a certain team (*coughs* team Soren) but by the end of this story; each and every one of these sinners has a place in my heart. The Mistress was a wonderfully written tale of kink, mystery and love…it is a perfect middle to what I think is a perfect series. I love these freaks…I love the vanilla’s too. I absolutely adore this world that Tiffany as created and it will always have a special spot on my shelf.

**okay...so per Ms. Original Sinner herself, Tiffany Reisz..this is not the end of our kinksters! can someone sayoh, wait...I did! People, there will be a 5th book...HOLLA! Tiffany Reisz rocks my world...she really...really does :)

  4. Prequels are good too! I have a couple series where anything bit more I can get I'm totally on board with. Book, novella, short story. Deleted scene. LOL

I'm making a pretty big dent in the review pile right now so maybe by the end of the summer fun reads will really get to happen. Man that would be exciting!

  7. Can you believe I have yet to try this series. Rebecca Zanetti (Dark Protector series) for me have all been 5 stars. Very rare you find a series with many novels and still rate all 5 stars. There is usually one novel in a series that will fall short. Great review
