Hi! Now you know I ususally do this via a video, but my hair ain't done so I will NOT be appearing on camera looking a hot mess. Next month it is on & popping, so watch out..lols.
August was a slow month as far a book buys went. I really didn't buy that many and I came across a few freebies, but I really think I should put myself on a book buying ban for the rest of the year because my goodness; my NOOK is about blow up...Hello, I have books from 2012 I still have read yet.
Well, leggo shall we?
Books brought & freebies (I combined B&N, Amazon, AllRomance.com and any audiobooks)
*As always check the prices before you click.
I read a total of 17 books in August and some of these I've already read. You can see my reviews either here at the blog or over at GoodReads. Which brings me to blog news.
I'm not going to post ALL of my reviews here at SR, some I will post at GR, Amazon...depending on how I felt about the book or how I feel period. You'll also see I made a few minor tweaks to my sidebar and I changed my background. The animal print was wreaking havoc on my eyes, so I can imagine what it was doing to my visitors. Plus I just wanted a darker look *weg*, but wanted to keep the white middle.
Now listen, I caught up with a few. I'm going to do a more catching up this month which is why I haven't signed up for a lot of tours. Below are the ones I was able to *coughs* read.
1. Irish Comfort by Nikki Prince
1. Reflected In You by Sylvia Day
2. Wallbanger by Alice Clayton
This is my update for August
Canyon by Brenda Jackson
On Every Street by Karina Halle
Dead Sexy Dragon by Lolita Lopez
The Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas
You can check out my challenges page for more of my very embarrassing reading habits when it comes to these things..lols.
I haven't been on Edelweiss in a minute, but I did get some to review from NetGalley. I'm just going to list them below. I've done pretty good and haven't gone all click happy...
The Preist by Monica La Porta
Making the first Move by Reese Ryan
Between Friends by Vristen Pierce (okay...I love her first name...so different!)
A Study of Silks by Emma Jane Holloway
I don't usually post books being made into TV series, movies, etc. stuff. BUT, there is one author who books are being turned into movies & I like the idea. Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters & Chronicles of Nick books are up next to be turned into movies, it was announced via her FB page. Dark Hunters, I'll probably see. But not Chronicles of Nick, I hated that she made those into YA books and didn't read them. AND I LOVE Nick! I was so disappointed.
Ah...Blogger works my nerves sometimes, but I'm a staying. I know most are making a change over to Wordpress and thats all good, but (and yes I going to fucking say it..) I can't afford it. So until Blogger does something that I just can't get down with, then maybe...maybe...lols. Plus I like Bloggers format, the shit is easy and for now I here Foeva...lmbo!
Anyway's that's it for me. Have a great and safe Holiday weekend beautiful people...I'm now off to read and of course drink.
