I've decided to give this a whirl...see how it goes. You know on some books sites, you update how far you got in a book or if you finished it. I'm not much on Goodreads anymore, rarely barely. But I've do link my reviews to BookLikes now (think less drama). Anyhoo's before I go rambling off topic, I thought it would be a cool thing to do for the blog too. Because, sometimes I wonder if my book buddies finished or stopped..you get my driff. Next time I won't go into this speil...lols.
So my first update will be M. Quinn's Toxic.
I'm going to have to DNF this one for now. I'll pick it back up sometime later on this month because I did ask to review it. But I can't for the life of me get past these characters, main and side ones.
To me there is nothing remotely sexxy about Rook for he is a ass of all asses right now to me. Yes, your parents were dickheads and you're childhood was shit, you're in pain... I get it, really I do. But to bury your shit in a bottle and fart out meaness and asshatery is just beyond me. And Maisy seems like a doormat, smh. You love this rocker so much, you would deal with all of his rudeness? to the point where he's cruel at times? no, not buying it.
Also, there's is too much repetiveness and way too many POV's. If this is Rook's & Maisy's story, then it should be more about them. Everyone else (Rook's & Maisy's band members) should take a back seat for now or give them a lil bit...not so much. Everyone on this tour bus has fudging issues and I don't think I'm in a good reading mood to deal with it all.
I was looking to read a rocker romance that would be fresh and different. This is craziness right now.
Also, I finished two other books today home while sick. M.J. Kanes A Lonely Hart and Melissa Blue's Under His Kilt. Both were fantastic!
