Guest Post & Series Spotlight: Lover Claimed by A.M. Griffin

Thursday, October 9, 2014

Hello sexy people!
For those who don’t know me, I’m A.M. Griffin and I write smexy stories of alien abductions, vanilla stories about invasions and teenage love and I’ve just added sexy paranormal wolf shifters to my repertoire. I’m so excited about this new series and I’m happy that the readers can take this adventure with me into my new paranormal world.
My book signing horror story…
I both love and am scared shitless about book signings. So many things can go wrong at those events. And not only that, but as a writer I’m sitting there with my heart on my sleeve and laid out on the table in front of me. Someone might come looking just for me, in that case I feel like I’ve accomplished some great feat (I have a reader fan, hooray!). Other times readers may just walk by, giving me a friendly smile or a nod of the head. To those, I want to reach out and grab them. I want to tell them to give my books and characters a chance, that they might come to love them just as I have. But to do that I have to have a voice.
I was a featured author at Authors After Dark this past August. I had a small cough and a hint of a cold the morning before I was to leave home to go to Charlotte. No problem, I thought. I’ll just pack some Dayquil to help get rid of the pesky cold symptoms.
(Say it with me now) Right…
I knew something was terribly wrong the first night at dinner. Why was my voice hurting so much? Why was I sweating while everyone else was complaining about the air being on too high? Well, by the next day that little tickle in the back of my throat turned into a full blown, end of times plague. I lost my voice totally for two days of the event (yeah, on the two days that I was scheduled for panels) and when my voice finally did return I sounded like a frog trying to pass for a human. So needless to say, by the time the book signing came around, no one knew me (because I had been in my room for most of the conference nursing a raging fever and stomach ache) and those that did know me knew I was carrying around some type of plague (imagine people walking by me with a look of “stay away from the infected!” look in their eyes).
So with my heart spread out before me and cooties pouring from my body, I tried my best to smile, encourage people to come over and talk to me while also trying not to pass out on the floor. I’ve heard other authors tell their horror stories about mean readers or rude authors. My horror story is just about me not being able to engage in the reader and not being able to interact with them as I wanted. The authors around me where nice and funny and even the readers who braved my cooties so that they could have a word with me were wonderful. I’d still love to hit the reset button so that I could’ve been more engaging with readers.
So I see blog tours as a kind of “reset button”. It’s my time to virtually meet readers and snatch them up (well, snatch is such an aggressive word, maybe lure would be better, LOL).
Hello all *waves*
My name is A.M. Griffin. How are you?

Dark Wolf Enterprises, #2

When Meisha comes home and finds a strange man in her kitchen, she does what any sensible person would do. She beats the crap out of him first, then asks questions after. When he explains her best friend is in mortal danger, Meisha knows the whole mess—including a recent murder and the threats on her friend’s life—may be her fault, and she’s determined to get to the bottom of it. And no sexy stranger is going to stop her.

Lajos Farkas isn’t expecting to meet a spitfire, martial artist when he’s on a mission to figure out who’s stealing from Dark Wolf Enterprises, and he certainly doesn’t expect her to insist on butting in on his investigation. But getting rid of Meisha is seemingly impossible, and when his wolf decides she’s his life-mate, suddenly he realizes he’ll do anything to keep her close and grow old with her.

If they can just stay alive long enough to make that possible.

Dark Wolf Enterprises, #1

Dark Wolf Enterprises (book 1) can be found in the Brought To His Knees boxed set.

Murder, mayhem and imprinting with a hot wolf shifter… And they say being an accountant is boring.

The big break Trudi Hollander’s small accounting firm needs has finally arrived, but unfortunately it comes with murder, mayhem and Kristof Farkas, a man she just can’t seem to resist. Even worse, Kristof is the CFO of Dark Wolf Enterprises—the one person who can pull the plug on the job that will take her company to the next level.

And then there are the assassins who can jump from three stories up and still be able to run away…
Kristof has no intention of giving in to his inner wolf and claiming Trudi. She’s human. Too fragile to withstand being a shifter’s mate. But the need to protect her is stronger than his resolve, and his desire is more powerful yet. He’ll fight with everything he has to keep her safe, both from those who would hurt her, and from himself.

  1. Aws what awful timing!! I was there for the book signing just for a couple hours (I live near by) Sorry I missed ya. Cooties and all ;) Hope the next one goes a spot better for ya!

  2. awww man...I dislike when I get sick and I'm stoked to do something or I have plans. I hope the next one works out better :D. I'm glad you're able to do tours though :)

  3. Oh, how sad! That is a nightmare introduction. I would probably be one who avoided getting close too b/c I just got over two weeks of fever and infection that a friend shared with me just by coming to my house, but it would be the germs and not you.

I love shifter stories so I'll have to check these out. Thanks for sharing!

  4. yay boxed set! Been awhile since I read a shifter book :)

  5. I received the sign-up for this tour, and was strongly tempted, but I couldn't find the first installment. It's part of a boxed set, now it all becomes clear. More shifter bang for your buck. Nice!
