My Review

Ah, Riding Rebel was written in true Kiru Taye style. There was drama, secrets, lies and sex...good sex. Sorry, I told ya'll I was a bit of a pervert, lols.

This is third book in the Essien Brothers trilogy. We get Tony Essien, the baby brother. Tony is a not into the business world like his two older brothers. He is a movie producer and yes, a bit of a rebel. Here he meets Rita Dike, pronounced (de-kae) who gives him a run for his money and makes him want to turn away from his player ways.

Given the job of going undercover and finding out dirt about the Essien's by her boss, Kris Peterson. Rita a journalist and somewhat of a small time actress, can she do her job without falling for Tony Essien's gorgeous looks and classic charm?

I did love this story, I loved this way Kiru built the story up. The drams and the secrets that went on had me shaking my head throughout most of the read. It also had me wanting to thoroughly slap the mess out a majority of the characters as well especially Tony. Now, ya'll know how I am about my males, but Tony was a bastard in every sense of the word. The way he treated women...jeez man. So fine and such a jerk, smh. And Rita, I liked her...she was a strong woman but she got on my nerves too. My issue with her was this, you are a journalist...a investigative journalist and you let your boss just throw some nonsense in your head and you just go with it? smh. Revenge can be a hell of a thing, it can either work for you or not.

These two had me wanting to scream through a majority of the book. But that is what Kiru does to me every time I read one of her books. a fine testament to her writing skills. First time I didn't care for her male though, lols. Eventually, I did warm up towards Tony as I read more. So much comes out in the third book. We find out why Kris Peterson has it in for the Essien's and boy oh boy is it a doozey. Wow, just wow. But you also find out just how strong this family is...how close the brother bond is between these men, had me tearing up at the end.

As always Kiru delivers a story that will have you rooting for the couple...hoping they see past their blinders and get to the HEA that is surely to happen. Riding Rebel gets 4 Brazen Babes.

I most definitely suggest you start with the first book in this Trilogy so that you can get a clear understanding of this family dynamic. Other books are:

Keeping Secrets (Book 1)
Making Scandal (Book 2)
