Blurb it Up

Dean Winchester is at the place he really doesn’t want to be – stuck at the airport.

Coming back from a family emergency, he would rather be relaxed at his home in Manhattan Beach, California, and getting his head back into the hockey game. Instead, he’s stuck at the worst airport in all of America – Chicago’s infamous O’Hare. At least the company he’s keeping isn’t too bad to look at. He only needs to convince her there can be something more if she wants it – and if she doesn’t kill him first.

Sydney Walker hates weddings. And she really hates weddings that she’s the bridesmaid in.

Returning from her third wedding in a year where she has perfected the role of bridesmaid, Sydney only wants to get back home in San Francisco. A snowed-in flight and every hotel room booked to capacity, Sydney is forced to share a room with a gorgeous man from Southern California. She’s not necessarily worried about him making a move on her but rather, if she could keep her hands to herself.

Breakaway is a sensual New Adult romance series that deals with trust, long-distance relationships, and finding yourself again.

My Review
Breakaway is a story of two folks meeting and starting a long distance relationship. Dean is a hockey player who is a bit lonely and up until he met Sydney, he wasn't sure if he wanted to be in a relationship. Too many groupies and women after his money once they discovered who he is...is not exactly what he wants in a girlfriend or future wife. Syndey isn't quite sure what she wants in life, right now she is tired of being everyone's bridesmaid and fast getting bored with her job in retail at Macy's.

These two meet suddenly when they both get stuck in Chicago during a snow storm. Syndey is stranded and is about to be sleeping in the airport when Dean offers her the extra bedroom in his suite.

Syndey is a breath of fresh air to Dean. She doesn't know who he is, she's funny, smart and gorgeous. To Sydney...Dean is different then most men she has come across. None them has ever challenged her like he has. What starts off as a fun one night stand turns into something more. Both Dean and Sydney are both a bit taken aback by the fast feelings they are feeling for one another. But can a long distance relationship work between them? Sydney isn't so sure but Dean makes her feel like no other has. Dean is for certain that Syndey is who he wants in his future, can he convince her to give them a try?

I really enjoyed this tale as both Dean and Sydney were enjoyable characters. I loved the snarkiness between the both of them, they were totally cute together and I could see them as a couple. Their fears, excitement and damn straight sexiness was so relatable...wonderful, wonderful story. But be warned dear readers that this is a shorty and it looks like this story will be broken up into maybe 2 or 3 books. But you know what? I'm not even mad because I can wait..don't let me wait to long dough Ms. Roberts.

I totes recommend Breakaway if you are looking for a quick sexy story with great humor. A cute little mixture of 27 dresses and a sports romance movie that I can't think of right now, lols.

Also, I just wanted to add, I didn't get a new adult feel from this story or these characters. They were very "adult" to me. I can't recall their ages but nothing about this story felt "New Adult"...but that's me and it doesn't take anything way for Breakaway
