I really did enjoy this book and it was the kind of sweet steamy read I needed.

Victoria and John our main protagonists in HoH make a "deal" to have an "sordid affair" while their working together to put a program in place between Victoria's school and John's library.

But of course, the way our college professor (Victoria) and sexy library (John) are set up, what seems to be a perfect deal starts to fall apart once these two start to realize that they have feelings for one another and neither can't necessarily seem to tell the other how they feel.

Things I loved most about Hearts on Hold:
Victoria's relationship with her good girlfriends. Black women need friends that's gonna tell them when they doing too much or too little... and Victoria needed such friends.
John's relationship with his niece, it was super cute to read.
Mention of John's adult ADD.
Victoria's nerdy and very PG ways. I mean the woman wouldn't even say gahtdamn, she said "GD". lols!

When Victoria's Father told her to finally stand up to her Mother. His words "You're a grown ass woman". lols.
John's moms (his mother and step-mother) conversation with each other as a way of getting him to realize how he felt about Victoria.
When Victoria bought out that damn day planner to schedule their "moments" during said affair. I about died and so did John.

Me and John:

Not too much drama and very humorous moments made Hearts of Hold something special for me to read and even though Ms. Reid touches on very serious topics throughout HoH, we still get a sweet but steamy story.

Looking for a sexy read between a college professor and drop gorgeous librarian? Definitely add this one to your reading list.
