Porsha just wanted to get through the night without it being too much more awkward between herself and Keith...the dude that ghosted her after a one night stand. Well, how more awkward can it get once a murder takes place at Keith's bosses Halloween party. A murder of someone who basically took Keith's job? Whew!

This was a good read. Loved the banter between the characters and everyone at a Black Panther themed Halloween party AND ya'll the only Black people? And there is a murder.... LISTEN, lols. It opens the door for instant hilarity. My only issue was I felt like at the beginning of AMM, the pacing was rough waters to get through because of the lack of communication between Porsha and Keith. Why couldn't they just talk about why they were avoiding each other like the plague. Yeah, Keith was wrong as hell for how he handled their after hook up and I was seriously side-eyeing some of his reasons why. This situation just re-affirms how woman are always questioning their worth even when maybe it should have been a "hook-up" anyolway.

But for the most part, I enjoyed A Masked Murder. The story does pick up once the murder and who done it starts. The part where the dead man's wife was chasing Keith's friend? LMAOOO. I cackled hard! At the end of it all, if you looking for a quick themed read for this week...then you might want to check this one out.

tw/cw: mention of death of a parent, marital affair.

Chasity just wants to kill the werewolf that keeps visiting her family's coffee shop but Luke (the werewolf in question) just wants to ask her out on a date being that she is his mate and all...

Listen, this book cracked me up so gahtdamn bad...lmao. Can you imagine trying to ask your future mate out and then finding out she a homicidal werewolf killer? lmao...neither can I but Luke sure found out and when he does...LMAO, queue more hilarity. Chasity whom has been kept out of the huntress game because a witch told her parents she would basically die on her first try is tired. She's tired of being the one who can't hunt so when she sees Luke at her job, she figures this is her chance to prove to her parents that she can do the job. BUT Luke isn't some regular ol werewolf...dude is smart as shit and...a artist...something ol girl truly was not expecting. Her face when Luke told her he's a artist had me rolling. Anyolway's all Luke wants to do is get Chasity to understand that he is hers but it's kind of hard.

The crowning moment here is when Chasity tries to actually kill him, Luke is happy as shit. I mean, this man was ecstatic, lmao. Like he rejoiced that his mate was a homicidal killer, lols. When I tell ya'll he was happy! omfg! lols. Also, why the hell was Chasity's family, a family of hunters but ain't know nothing about werewolves....really?! lmao. Like Luke had to tell Chasity the difference between were's and rabid were's. Bish....lols.

At the end of it all, they end up becoming mated and all is good but I, the reader had a good time with this one because wtf lmao. If you like a grumpy huntress trying to kill her mate, then this may be for you.

**Note: this books has an updated cover but I used the old one because that other one is kinda...pale lols.
