The problem with this story was that the author had too much going on and then there was the romance which wasn’t interesting. You have Kayla who is a single mother who starts working for widower Richmond as a nanny to his young daughter. The romance between them gets lost so bad because there is a murder mystery to be solved as well and my honest imo, it didn’t make any dang on sense. This story also suffers from so much corniness and very much a lot of eye rolling moments. This could have been a much better story but the overindulgence of un-believableness is strong here.

cw: suicide, marital cheating.

I think this story had a good premise. Jasmine and Sean meet one another through her younger brother and fall in love (rather quickly). We come to find out however, that Sean and Jasmine have been lovers or have crossed paths in their past lives which explains why she feels the lightheadedness and he has stomach pains when they come in contact with one another. For the most part, there were parts of this story that just didn’t connect for me and if I’m being honest, these two didn’t have much chemistry on page. It’s an okay read and I like the paranormal aspects but there were just too many times where I was lost and I don’t like that feeling when reading.

cw: in one of their past lives, Jasmine is a Nazi officer & Sean is a camp prisoner.

I didn't read any of the books before this and for the most part I don't think you have too unless you want to know the background of Wolfe and Vicki. We go into this story with Wolfe and his friend Connor leaving their government jobs. Wolfe now has plans on spending more time with his wife Vicki. Connor who is a friend to them both is just there along for the ride. All is going well until Wolfe's fathers pack shows up at their doorstep, literally. First of all, his father's pack would have been turned right back around because they were foul from jump. You don't come at somebody you need help from disrespectfully, them people were disrespectful lols. For the most part I liked this but I do feel like there was unnecessary and at times, ridiculous drama added. This is a quick short read and if you're a fan of paranormal romance, this may work in your favor.
